paper on domestic robots accepted to Building Simulation 2021

A paper co-authored by Jospeh McLaughlin (UO Master Student in Computer Science and Baker Lab Researcher), Michal Young (UO Associate Professor of computer Science), and Siobhan Rockcastle (UO Assistant Professor of Architecture) was accepted for publication at Building Simulation 2021 in Bruges, Belgium. The paper, titled ‘Fine-grained measurement of the indoor built environment with robotic vacuum cleaners’ explores the use of a domestic robot to passively measure environmental variables like temperature, light, and humidity and use spatial and temporal interpolation methods to build dynamic maps of indoor performance.
